AN EVENING WITH MARILYN - DOUGLAS KIRKLAND
Photographer Douglas Kirkland has released a beautiful book of unreleased photographs titled An Evening With Marilyn. The photographs were originally commissioned by Look magazine back in 1961 and, as the title suggests, depict a single evening Kirkland spent with the superstar.
Kirkland is a prolific photographer most notably known for his ultra-chic old Hollywood clientele that stems from Marilyn Monroe to Elizabeth Taylor to Audrey Hepburn, in total shooting over 100 famous movie sets and, as a result, has been named “Photographer of the Year.”.
